STATEMENT OF FAITH

• Our doctrinal statement, “What We Believe” is a verbal confession verifying our faith.
• The Bible is God’s inspired Word according to the scripture.
• (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)
• The Bible says that there is only one God and He is called the Father. (Ephesians 4:6)
• The Bible states that His Son’s name is Jesus.
• (St. Matthew 3:16-17)
• The Bible speaks of the Third Person of the Godhead which is the Holy Spirit.  (St. John 15:26-27)
• The scripture states that these three personalities agree as one.
• (I John 5:7-8)
• The Bible says that Jesus was born of a virgin, crucified, buried, and was resurrected that third day and ascended up into the heavens.
• (St. Luke 1:35; St. Mark 15:24; St. Matthew 27:57-60; 28:2-7; Acts 1:9-11)
• The Bible also declares that Jesus will return to the earth.
• (Revelations 1:7)
• The Bible declares that Jesus is the only source of man he cleansed from his sin through His precious blood.  (Acts 4:12; Romans 5:10-15)
• The Bible also declares that Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of man’s faith.  (Hebrews 12:2)
• We believe water baptism is an ordinance, symbolizing the Christians’ identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.  The formula is “In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
